Zarić

Destilerija Zarić was registered in 2008 by the Zarić family in Kosjerić, in the renovated former Povlen rakija cellar, which dates from 1946. It can produce up to three million litres a year, and around 1,500 farming families in the area grow fruit for it.

The flagship is Kraljica, a plum rakija protected as a brand in 2010 and sold aged seven or fourteen years in oak barrels. Kralj is described as a plum cognac and is made from plum wine of the Trnovača, Crvena Ranka and Požegača varieties.
