Siblings Micaela and Marco Bonfante started the winery in 2000 in Nizza Monferrato, Piedmont, where their family has made wine for eight generations.
Barbera is the core of the range, as Barbera d'Asti Superiore and Nizza DOCG, alongside Barolo, Barbaresco and Albarossa. Menego is a structured Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG made for ageing. Bricco Bonfante, named after the hill the family comes from, is the leading Barbera cru and has carried the Nizza DOCG label since 2012.
