Vapore is a young craft distillery in Ferenci, near Vižinada in Istria, launched by Paolo Ritoša. It occupies the former wine cellar of the Deklić family winery. The name is Italian for steam and recalls the Parenzana steam railway that once ran through Vižinada.
Most of its spirits and liqueurs are built on komovica, a grape pomace brandy, flavoured with herbs, fruit and Teran grapes from the Deklić vineyard. In its first year the distillery won several medals, including a champion medal for the Teranino liqueur.
