Chateau Kamnik is a boutique winery on a hill at the edge of Skopje, in the Vardar valley. Ilija Malinkovski started it in 2004, and his son David now runs it.
It specialises in Vranec, North Macedonia's emblematic red grape, and buys Vranec and Temjanika from the Veles area. Its own vineyards cover 13 to 15 hectares, and about 70 per cent of production is exported. The range also includes an orange wine from Grenache Blanc.
